Marco Soellner (Klimt 1918, Raspail, Another Day)

BIOGRAFIA
Marco Soellner nasce a Roma nel 1976. Si avvicina alla musica molto presto, condividendo con il fratello Paolo, l’amore per i Tears For Fears, i Talk Talk ed altre band synthpop e new wave anni ottanta. Nel 1989 comincia ad esplorare il vasto mondo del metal concentrando il suo interesse sul Death, il Black e il Doom. Nel 1994 fonda gli ANOTHER DAY, una band death/black metal melodico/progressivo con cui registra la cassette EP “Youth (The Castle of Illusions)" (1996), il mini CD ancora inedito “Fireworks Outside (Black Butterflies over the Petals of the Sun)” (1997), entrambi prodotti dall’etichetta Garden of Grief, e, infine, il demo “Be Nothing but a Bit of Cold” (1998). Dalle ceneri degli Another Day nascono i KLIMT 1918 che debuttano come band influenzata da Novembre, Katatonia e Anathema, per poi evolversi in una realtà shoegaze/dream pop. Con i Klimt 1918 registra il demo “Secession Makes Postmodern Music” (2001), l’album “Undressed Momento” (2003), uscito per My Kingdom Music, “Dopoguerra” (2005), “Just in Case We'll Never Meet Again” (2008), “Sentimentale Jugend” (2016) e l’imminente “Àmor” (2023), tutti pubblicati da Prophecy Production. Nel 2012 forma i RASPAIL, side project doom/death metal con cui registra “Dirge” (2016), rilasciato da Sick Man Getting Sick.
